A Building’s Story

This is a reboot of a feature I tried out last month called House Tales.  There wasn’t too much response to the post by way of comments on the post or on my Facebook page.  Maybe it was because many of us were gearing up for Thanksgiving or maybe asking you to tell me a story is too much for a blog (and if that’s the case, I can accept that).  I had fun with the post and as I think that nearly everything deserves a second chance, I bring to you A Building’s Story…okay well Buildings’ Stories in this case.

Here are the buildings in question.  Your only leads are that they are in Warwick, RI and that they are all connected (in a historical sense, not physically).

Building A: Front and South Side

Building A: Back and North Side

Building B: Front and South Side

Building C: Front and West Side

Building C: Back and East Side (Sorry about the sun obstructing the roof line!)

So not knowing anything more than what I’ve told you, what can you tell me about these buildings?  It can be factual with building type, style, relative construction date, etc. Or it can be completely made up, a creative writing exercise on these buildings, where they are, and/or who built/used them.

I look forward to hearing from you, and if you want to try your hand at the first House Tales post (for the link, scroll back to the top of this post), please do, as I have not yet divulged what I know about the property.

On a side note, this should be one of the last posts that will rely solely on my cellphone for its photos.  I bought a new camera, and I so look forward to going out and using it for Preservation and Place activities.

Ok, I’ll admit, I’m pretty bad at this game. Google didn’t even help me out. Was this the first strip mall before the revolution?
